Lucas Eugene Scott was born on Tree Hill, North Carolina, he grew up there with his Mother Karen Roe, Keith Scott (his uncle) who raised him as his own and Haley James Scott his best friend and now Sister in Law; his father Dan Scott abandoned his mother pregnant
His siblings include his half-brother Nathan Scott (they share Dan Scott as a Father) and Half-sister, Lily Scott (they share Karen Roe as a mother)

He was a former shooting guard and Co-Captain for the Tree Hill Ravens basketball team, but was allowed back on the team to play for 15 minutes a game due to his heart condition, later he became Coach of the very same team
